Driftwood, pebbles from Ardmair Bay and Brighton beach. Plinth from old discarded timbers from the Culnacraig footbridge
This was my first serious sculpture. I was inspired by the flat white marble pebble from Ardmair bay and its tactile qualities. I wanted to combine it with a piece of driftwood. The chosen wood had a natural hollow that seemed to be the ideal home for the pebble. The smaller pebble was asking to be combined with the bigger one and sits precariously as if it is rolling off the branch. All of it is floating above the plinth which was made of the old wood from the bridge over the local burn in Culnacraig.
