Scottish driftwood with finely detailed embedded pebble from Selsey poised on a base stone from the beach at Brighton
This piece of wood was so tactile and sculptural, that it needed just a small addition to show its beauty. On a trip to Brighton with my friend Lucy, I found the white stone pebble with the hole. It was in perfect contrast to the warm red colour of the wood and the ideal base. The tiny round pebble was found by one of my pupils in the shool grounds and fascinated me because it had a natural Ying and Yang marking on one side and just needed seating safely in this fascinating piece of wood to show its importance.
