PETRA GIEDE-BARNES

Driftwood, rock, slate and heather.

Every time we go to the cottage we pass “the tree”.  It is a windswept birch which has stood the test of time and managed to survive the many storms blowing in from the North Atlantic.  It has been formed into a sculpture of its own.  When I found this piece of heather it immediately reminded me of the tree and it became a miniature version which is holding on to the rocks.
