or Bury my Heart at the Bend of the River
Driftwood, knitted wire, fishing net and pebbles
In this early piece, the quality of the branches encouraged me to join them together and to enhance the newly found spaces with wire and pebbles. The heart of the sculpture is the marble pebble in the shape of a heart from Ardmair Bay. It made me recall the story of the American Indians which was written in the book by Dee Brown which I loved. The material used are also closely resembling those ones American Indians would have used for their dreamcatchers.
