Driftwood from North West Scotland, slate from the shore at Polglass, pebble from the school playground

The sculpture was inspired by the shape of the beautifully bleached wood with all its curves and hollows.  The slate fins were set into the protrusions and the big bulging round eye is looking at the observer with its natural white speck in the position where a light reflection could be.
