Wave Bird

Driftwood from North West Scotland, marble pebble from Ardmair Bay, flint pebble from Berkshire

This sculpture was inspired by its beautiful curved and elegant shape.  The split in one end suggested a bird and the little branch in its beak manifests this illusion.  The eye is in the shape of the most smooth marble shape and leads back to the idea of a bird.  On the other side of the sculpture the flint pebble is nestled in its hollow and balances the sculpture with its intricacy.
